Kick the new year off with a bang!
With few friends and no support from family, ballerina-in-training Caroline Holder pays her bills by working as a nude model. Her financial survival depends on it.
Craig Bishop is a workaholic who achieves his goals because of his tunnel vision when it comes to the things he’s passionate about, which has only been his work—until now. When he sees the beautiful model in body paint at his annual New Year’s Eve Party, it’s love at first sight. Irrepressible feelings for the stranger disrupt his autopilot relationship with his girlfriend, leaving him with the untenable choice of dumping her on the holiday or hiding the most powerful emotional response he’s ever known. Not to mention the new object of his affections has caught the eye of his two friends as well. As he grapples with his own growing desire for the nameless model and her surprising desire to be shared, a Dominant side he never knew he had emerges.
Caroline prides herself on her professionalism, including not talking to clients. She can live out her ultimate sexual fantasy, but only if she breaks the rules. Is one night with three sexy strangers worth the risk?

My Writing Process, aka Organized Chaos
How do I begin? I might have an idea for a character or two. I might know I want to write a ménage. I might have a basic idea for a plot. I might start writing words out of nowhere. Or I might be inspired by a sexual position. That’s exactly what happened with Fireworks for Four. I wrote the opening and sent it to my critique partner in an email. Do you think this has potential?
She replied, YES!!! Write it!!! Well, maybe not with that many exclamation points, but you get the idea.
So I started the story then finished it in about ten days. I wrote A LOT every day, more than usual but the story kept coming. It was almost like I had bought a ticket to the movie theater in my head. I just had to write what I saw and heard—and get it on the page in a way that makes sense to the reader. You’re not psychic when it comes to my characters. They have to do or say or think something for you to get to know them. To do that I have to know them, especially in a story with four main characters. Their personalities, values, and appearances need to be crystal clear to me or my words will confuse you to the point that you want to hurl your e-reader at the wall. Let’s face it, they’re way too expensive to do that.
Some authors talk about writer’s block. I don’t believe in it. Some people have a theory that your first draft is supposed to be crap. I embrace that. For me, I have to get the story out, and I pretty much write it in order. I use this software called Write or Die to make that happen. It tells me how fast I’m writing, but more importantly it turns my screen red and starts blaring alarms at me if I stop typing. Talk about motivation. If I don’t know what to write, here’s what I type (seriously):
I don’t know what to write so I’m just going to keep typing until the story starts coming... or something like that until the words or the movie pop into my head. I’ll also make brilliant notes to myself in all caps. Things like SOMETHING GOES HERE, so I can keep going with the flow and not get bogged down on a detail that I can fill in later. Because later I am going to read the story and work on it until I’m sick of looking at it, all to make it the best it can be. If I tell a story that you can’t put down with characters you love or hate and cheer for or curse at and that helps you escape “the real world” for a while, then I’ve done my job. Making you happy makes me happy. To me, that’s what matters.
Kristi Hancock became an author of erotica and erotic romance when the characters in her dirty mind demanded to come to life. Creating worlds ranging from the music underground of Seattle to the hot spots of colorful Key West to the vibrant streets of New York City (and the hotel rooms above them), she leads heroes and heroines through intense sexual experiences that transform them into stronger and more confident people. Her racy stories are guaranteed to make you randy.
