In this "fast-paced" (Publishers Weekly) page-turner, the daughter of a murdered high-powered lawyer seeks sanctuary in a quaint little town, only to learn she can't escape her past-or FBI Special Agent Dillon Savich.
It has been a long time since I have read a mystery drama based book. I forgot how much I like them. This book has twists and turns, making you scratch your head wondering just what is around the next corner and give you a clue of who did what.
Catherine combined two mysteries in one. First you have Sally and her running from danger, thinking she's keeping her mother safe. Visiting her Aunt Amabel who lives in the Cove. She questions her sanity. Then you have FBI Special Agent Quinlan who is hunting Sally but stumbles upon what he thought was a good cover to use while he figured out Sally, and fell for her at the same time. A simple cover story of a couple disappearing from the Cove. While he tried to find out exactly what happened the night Sally's father got killed, they both end up together set on a course to figure out who is behind the killings and why. I won't give anything away but if your looking for a different genre of book I highly recommend reading this one.
