Geeky mathematician, Cassandra Nelson, proposes to her father’s sworn enemy to protect her family’s shipbuilding corporation from a takeover. Regatta racing tycoon, Marco Delgado, knows their union is a quick ticket into the society that shunned him after a devastating boating crash. He agrees, but expects a permanent commitment; one with sizzling side benefits. And, after a Vegas wedding, he unleashes Cassandra’s inner vixen during a steaming hot honeymoon in Argentina while aboard his yacht.
Cassandra never calculated falling in love into their equation, but there’s more than desire and passion flaring between them. Soon she believes they can have so much more than a sexy bargain on paper. But when Cassandra’s secrets are revealed, during a reception held in their honor, Marco must learn the power of forgiveness and love before they can have the future they deserve.
I liked this book. I've never read anything by Christine Glover before, but hey I am all about giving a new author a go! The book starts out with Cassandra proposing to Marco. Now you know that takes something major happening for a woman to do this, and yes in the case of this story it does. Toss in some family conflict, and hot attraction and you have the makings to a great story. It does not start out slow. Christine jumps right into the heart of the matter, of Cassandra, and Marco striking a deal. Marriage. Now of course the sexy Marco has some condition to this contract, and Cassandra thinks he could be her future redemption. They both feel the sexual attraction simmering, waiting to be unleashed. The barriers between them was Marco's need for revenge, and Cassandra's need to prove something to her father. She tries to only make the marriage a short term deal, but Marco has other ideas. He wants forever. Both of them not expecting to fall in love with the other.
Marco and Cassandra come together for all the wrong reasons, somehow miraculously. They find passion, and friendship, and something more. Something special. The story unfolds with just the right amount of speed to draw you into it. The passion that they develop for one another is steamy hot with just the right amount of emotions mixed right in. I won't give to much away. I want you to read this and enjoy it as much as I have.
