After successfully stopping the flood of demons from Hell onto Earth, the Chosen must now permanently re-form the Gates, a dangerous task that requires battling against Lucifer’s chosen warlock, Garrick, and his demonic master, Javal. In order to do this, they need a powerful witch of their own.
Aradia has always known she would be called through time to help foil Lucifer’s plan. After a harrowing escape from ancient Greece to present day Las Vegas, she is forced to contend with a new time, place, new people, and a powerful adversary in Garrick. With the addition of Aradia, the circle of six is complete and all must focus on the task at hand: stopping Lucifer.
As Aradia struggles to adjust to the new world, she also struggles with her overwhelming feelings for Gage Windsor, an ancient vampire with a tragic past. While Aradia and Gage feel their way through the emotions surrounding them, Alaria finds herself torn between Gabriel–who she has loved for millennia, but who betrays her trust–and her surprising new feelings for Braxton, who is still deeply grieving the death of Griffin.
When their quest to stop Garrick leads them back through time to the wonders of Atlantis, the six are forced to fight for their lives in a battle lost long ago. While struggling with their own demons, can the group come together to defeat their common enemy before Atlantis sinks, or will they join the city at the bottom of the ocean?
I started this read with the third book in the series, Devils Redeption, and now I can say... I want to go back and catch up with the first two. Oh yeah, I will have another series to read. Did I ever mention how much I love series? I probably have, a few times at least. Let me start off with saying, if you have not read the first two books, you WON'T be lost starting with the third. You would be able to read this release without reading the other books in the series, and to me that is always pretty important. Series are great, they really are, but when a book can stand on it's own, it is even better. This is one of those books... but the ending... will make you waiting for the next release. Okay, I am getting ahead of myself. However, as always, I will not give spoilers. You will just have to read for yourself.
The setting of the story moves to different locations, and some of them are protected by magic and some are... well, a little more vulnerable. This totally adds to the plot of the story and gives you those moments where you are thinking, "Ohhhhh, how are you going to get out of this one?" including the major conflict within the book. The imagery for the final conflict is great, and gets the reader sucked into the story. (Well at least, it did me.) The characters, and not just the main "couple" of the book are awesome, and you find yourself not just cheering on the main relationship status, but the supporting "cast" as well. This aspect spreads your attention and had me wanting to know what else was coming up in any future releases before I even reached the end of the book and was left with a cliff hanger. I actually said, "Thanks a lot!" aloud as I read the final page, and to me... that is a good sign that as soon as the next book comes out I will be reading it.
If you have not read any of these books within the series and are contemplating Devil's Redeption, I recommend picking them up. I know I am going to read them! I am also telling ya... read this one, you won't be disappointed!
