Tyler that boy will make you take a double look at My Little Ponies, and blush or just shake your head over brownies. His thinking is so male, but you get a glimpse at his character and that he is human under all that weirdness. I was not surprised who his real father was. In fact I think I shouted “Yes I knew it!” when I read it.
Ava, I love that her personality comes out more, that we got to know the girl underneath the fashion. She does not want to be a part of the family business. Yes Liz her mom has a tizzy fit. But you have to give Tyler kudos for sticking up for Ava a couple times. Tyler has a heart under his strange.
The two are so made for each other, even if they don’t think so at the start and just use each other to get their rocks off when the urge hit them. It takes a little but for Ava’s parents to give over a bit on Tyler but eventually they do in their own brand of acceptance that makes you wipe tears of laughter from your cheek, at the way they go about it.
She was recommended to me, and I have passed the love of her books onto my friends and family. If you’re looking for a series to make you laugh and grin from ear to ear, then this is the one for you. Nothing will ever beat Tara’s wild sense of humor.
