I have no job, a mountain of bills, and I’m a month away from homelessness. It can’t get any worse.
CEO prodigy Hunter Carlisle is looking for an admin, and he’s picked me. Filthy rich and sinfully handsome, he’s the bachelor everyone wants.
But he has a secret.
In order to keep the job, he’ll require me to f*ck, whenever and however he wants. No hearts, no flowers, no falling in love–just sex so good it should be illegal.
That’s not my kinda bag. I like to hold onto control with both hands. But Hunter Carlisle is a man that gets what he wants, and he wants to make the rules.
My only defense is saying no, but everything in my body wants to say yes…
**This is book one in a four part series, each book full length, intended for 18+. Each book has a mini-HEA to tide the reader over leading to an overall HEA and epilogue. This is a spicy book with a little humor and a few shenanigans thrown in.
Yes, Please has been out since November of last year. Is it possible I read an ARC at the time and do not remember? ABSOLUTELY! I am a busy woman and have the time do not remember my name. After all, isn't that why we have a drivers license and people who call us Mom or Grandma? A phone with our name? Credit cards? I believe it is! Yes, I went and looked through the reviews in Amazon...I haven't reviewed it to my knowledge, but I have read it before. Go figure. Thing is. I liked it the story then and I like the story now.
Rich, sexy, powerful Hunter with daddy issues galore is drawn to sweet, innocent, 'I can save the world' Olivia. Smart as they come, beautiful, yet demure, she disarms him by her honest and naivete. Known for hiring admins to train to be powerful business woman and solely to have sex with when he needs the release, Hunter finds himself drawn to Olivia like a moth to a flame. She destroys him and rebuilds him anew stronger than before all at the same time making him question himself and his practices with past admins. Then again, maybe he realizes the gem he's found in Olivia.
Complex characters with complex needs and issues. Ms. Summers does a fine job of making you love, like, hate and despise a character, sometimes all at once. Small idiosyncrasies which drove me crazy, but would not bother anyone else were choice of descriptions used in the sex scenes. The build up, to me, was hotter, or just as hot as the actual sex scene but I did like the visual of Hunter moving from a cold heartless ass to someone who was beginning to give a damn about Olivia's feelings after each sexual encounter as shown by the amount of aftercare and time he spent on her.
What drove me nuts the most was the pure simple fact of not paying attention to the sign up form stating this was only part one of a four part series. Now I must purchase the rest to determine if this is indeed the book I had read in the past or not.
Willow Summers is the breakaway pen name from USA Today Bestselling author K.F. Breene, dedicated to comic, contemporary, erotic and suspense romance. When she’s not writing, be wary, because she will probably try to pull you into some shenanigan or other, usually involving wine and heavy doses of chocolate. She lives just south of wine country with her husband, two children, and out of work treadmill.
